Fred & Rubia's International Wedding!

Fred and Rubia are just incredible together. I first met Rubia MANY (we won't say HOW many) years ago in high school. Before I had the pleasure of meeting her, Fred and Rubia met and fell in love years before in Brazil. Once she moved to America, the two of them beat the odds and continued their relationship long-distance! Their website gives the details on how many months they spent on the phone, how many thousands of emails they shared, and how they made it work... for TEN YEARS! Finally, as they both begin their doctorate programs, Fred and Rubia became man and wife not once, but TWICE! First, in a ceremony in Brazil, then in downtown Dallas - just DAYS apart from each other! Talk about a planning whirlwind! I was so happy to be a part of such an incredible love story. Everyone was beyond the kindest anyone could be. There was a lot of Portuguese being spoken, but I didn't need a translator to understand just how thrilled everyone was for these two. I picked up a few words, but those usually resulted in laughter. The day started out at the Magnolia Hotel in Dallas, which holds some sentiment for me, and ended at the City Club atop the Bank of America building (the giant green one, for those of you who pass by at night!). It was just lovely and so full of happiness!

To say Rubia has a lot of hair would be an understatement. I think the only person who stressed in the slightest that day was the amazing hairstylist!

Rubia and Fredrico, thank you so much!!! Or should I say, obrigado! You two were simply amazing the entire time. You treated everyone so VERY kindly, were so patient and welcoming and calm and loving and happy... everything that everyone always wants to be around! Congratulations on BOTH of your weddings, and make sure you celebrate all of your anniversaries, haha! I am so touched to have been able to be a part of something so incredible. I can't wait to see what the next ten years hold!!!
